In the mid-seventies Camwrap was just beginning to introduce it’s carefully chosen collection of fine quality British Woolen Goods to small retailers all over the USA, but the company’s very first sale in 1972 was made to the Harvard Coop. The canny director at that time immediately saw the potential for creating a high quality stylish tradition worthy of a great university, and so the first US sale of Camwrap’s British-style pure wool flannel university scarves (campus wraps) was made. Other major universities and prep schools soon followed suit* and Tradition became Trend. 

But although Camwrap’s initial focus was the production and distribution of British-made university scarves, the company founders Michael Brown (sourcing & exporting—U.K.) and Michael Keeble (sales & distribution—U.S.) soon had the Camwrap name attached to all sorts of woolen and gift products from the great designers and crafts people of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
